Aims and objectives
The promotion of health and relief of need of children and young people living on, or connected with, the streets of Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh, in particular by supporting the work of street children LEEDO to reach children abandoned on the streets and to provide counselling, and residential facilities to meet their needs.
Friends of Street Children Bangladesh has been established by people in Britain who have visited projects working with street children in Bangladesh that are providing children with opportunities for a life away from the dangers and risks of living on the streets. Our aim is to raise funds to support this work and to increase awareness of the situation facing children surviving on the streets in Dhaka. We are raising funds for outreach work and residential centres for children.
We are raising awareness through events and by liaising with people from the UK visiting LEEDO in Dhaka.
