Art & Craft workshop at Plaistow Library
Date: Saturday 16th November 2024
Time: 10am – 1.15pm
Place: Plaistow Library, North Street, London E13 9HL
Hear the story of Fatima, a child living on the streets of Bangladesh. Through a live link to Dhaka, you’ll have the chance to connect with street-connected children, and Mike Sherriff, the author of the collaborative book The Street Is Not a Home.
This workshop draws inspiration from the powerful memories of children who, like Fatima, navigate life on the streets of Dhaka, overcoming immense challenges. Plus, get a free copy of the book!
The workshop is led by local artist and illustrator Saif Osmani, and Natasha Sharmin, Ms Kent 2023/24. Mike, Natasha and Saif are trustees of the UK charity, Friends of Street Children Bangladesh that supports LEEDO Peace Home in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
